Planning a C-section? Many hospitals do not allow a birth photographer in the operating room. Please check with both your doctor and your hospital before booking to confirm their policies.
When Birth Photography May Not Be Possible
While we will always do everything we can to be there, some situations are simply beyond our control.
Birth coverage may not be possible if:
- I'm already photographing a wedding or another booked event.
- Baby arrives before I can make it to the hospital.
- You require an emergency C-section where photographers aren't permitted.
- A medical emergency requires all non-medical personnel to leave the room.
How It Works
- Early Labor: As soon as contractions begin, let me know so I can begin preparing and planning for your arrival.
- Choose a Point Person: Designate a support person to keep me updated throughout labor. You'll have enough on your mind without worrying about sending text messages!
- Around 5 cm: If I'm available and your labor is progressing normally, I'll begin heading your way.
- Delivery: Once it's time to push, I'll quietly enter and document your baby's arrival with minimal interruption.
- After Birth: I'll capture those precious first moments of you and your partner meeting your baby before slipping out so you can enjoy your Golden Hour together.
If Birth Coverage Isn't Possible
Your session retainer secures your on-call availability.
If circumstances prevent me from photographing your birth, your retainer is never lost. It will be applied toward your choice of:
- Fresh 48 Session
- Newborn Session
- Milestone Session
- Family Session
The remaining balance is only due if Birth Photography coverage is successfully completed. Retainer is non-refundable.
If you book and receive a birth session, you are automatically qualified for the Grow with Me Discount on any additional sessions for that child.
Birth Photography is an on-call service. While every effort is made to attend your birth, attendance cannot be guaranteed due to the unpredictable nature of labor, medical restrictions, or prior contractual obligations.
